Me shaking tumblr zoomers: The Legend of Korra came out before gay marriage was legalized in the US. Korrasami's relationship was unapologetically censored throughout the show but still managed to pave the way for future queer relationships that have allowed shows like The Owl House to exist.

silly headcanon plot twist- Charlie's jealously at the spear ISN'T silly or irrational at all, it's a subconscious manifestation of Charlie's desperation for her girlfriend to actually open up emotionally to HER instead of to a WEAPON, confide fears and problems in CHARLIE, and a very frustrated, very also-emotionally-constipated-in-her-own-way Charlie doesn't wanna pin that frustration on Vaggie directly so she deflects all her anger to the spear, which as an inanimate objects, can't get any hurt feelings over this or decide Charlie is too much and dump her

Do you think in the "Out of Tears" video the cameras just happened to be rolling when Charlie went in the telephone booth to call Shirley and ask her to come pick him up from this bloody music video set and then captured his disappointment when he realized it was just a prop? I do.

#watching the old music videos #especially from 1990-7 #really makes you realize how far they’ve fallen in that department #they’re so much fun and so interesting to watch b/c they manage to incorporate interesting cinematography and motifs/plots #with having the band themselves participate #some of them are completely psychotic (looking at you ‘Sex Drive’ and ‘I Go Wild’)#but none of them are boring or lacking something creative and worth seeing #and they used genuinely talented and recognized film people on the projects #I’m not saying it’s a completely Hackney Diamonds era issue #b/c most of the music videos for A Bigger Bang and the handful of singles that came out after it #aren’t that great or special either #but the two HD music videos are particularly boring and atrocious #one naked (no pun intended) appeal to the male gaze and one boring misogynistic 4 minute trope #it’s crazy that the videos they were making 30 years ago were edgier and more subversive than what they do now #yet also on track for what a piece of corporate mechanized mall music garbage that album is #the rolling stones #charlie watts #ask response #anonymous #gifset #gif set

#my desserts #okay the hot dog and hamburgers aren't my design they're one of the standard designs we're supposed to make #and about a week ago we were having a store tour #which is essentially when a bunch of rich people from higher up in the company come walk around the store #so everyone has to work way harder to make everything perfect and jam pack the shelves with food #so that they can look at it #and they send in people who's job it is to micro manage everything in the lead up to them coming #and they always insist on coming on like a monday or tuesday so most of that stuff expires and goes in the garbage #like if they at least came on like a thursday we could be prepped for the weekend rush #it costs a lot of money too like my manager owns the store and he personally has to pay for like #getting everything professionally cleaned and the extra hours and the extra product #and this was like the 6th visit in the past year! usually you get 1 or 0 visits in a year! why do they keep coming back!!!!#and this visit they were adamant about having those hot dog and hamburger cupcakes out as 6 packs #and if you're going to do 6 packs anything less than 24 packs looks pathetic #those of you who can do multiplication know that that is 144 cupcakes #and those of you with keen eyes can see that the bun is made by cutting off the top of the cupcake. which is very tedious #those cupcakes took me THREE HOURS to do #then as soon as they went out on the floor someone placed an order for 24 6 packs this coming weekend so that took me three more hours 😑#anyway after all that the higher ups didn't even come. they had 'dinner reservations'#but yeah making 16 to sell individually isn't so bad

I spent the entire day rearranging my tiny place to make space for my new roommate. Place is still a terrifying mess, but at least I took most of the garbage out and all the books are back on the shelf.

I am so tired. Not even physically but why is cleaning and organizing just so mentally exhausting.

my mother again encouraging me to "be open" to relationships now that i've finished school because it's so much easier to live in a 2 person household. her example for this was that her garbage disposal recently broke and she had to try to fix it by herself. it's funny bc she's careful to use gender-neutral language in these conversations and i'm pretty sure i've told her i don't ever anticipate dating a man again so i guess in her mind every relationship contains one person who knows how garbage disposals work and one who doesn't
